Are you struggling to find qualified candidates for your entry-level positions in manufacturing? The City of Oxnard and Oxnard College want to help and are looking for more businesses to participate.
Through the Oxnard Employee Pipeline — a collaboration between the City of Oxnard, Oxnard College and the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce — Oxnard College will offer two evening classes covering basic machining/manufacturing/technical skills and a class that covers career readiness (ie. soft skills). Classes are estimated to begin in March and last 12 weeks. The city is seeking businesses to agree to interview candidates who complete the coursework. If you’re interested, download a letter with more details and how to provide details about the top three entry-level positions (with benefits) in manufacturing that you have trouble filling.
