More than 200 people gathered to shine a light on Camarillo's stars at the WVCBA's Top 10 Awards Gala, the city’s premier recognition event. Now in its 54th year, the Camarillo Top 10 celebrates individuals, organizations and businesses that are making a difference in the community.
Emceed by local business leaders Bruce Holley (Event CEO, Kirby Auto Group) and Salena Bracamontes (Owner, State Farm - Salena Bracamontes), the evening gala was held Friday, November 5, at Serra Center in Camarillo. The awards recognize businesses, organizations and individuals that are dedicated to enhancing Camarillo's positive business and community environment. Nominations are submitted by the public to the WVCBA and winners are chosen by a selection committee.
Winners were revealed during the Camarillo City Council meeting on September 29 by WVCBA Vice Chair Craig Jeffery, Director of Human Resources at St. John’s Hospital Camarillo, and Irene Nishinaka, an independent, local business owner representing Aflac.
The Top 10 Awards was established by the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce. This is the first year it was hosted by the WVCBA, the new organization formed in 2021 when the Oxnard and Camarillo chambers of commerce united.
