​WVCBA champions rent control alternatives in Oxnard

At the WVCBA Business Advocacy Committee meeting on Monday, October 11, 2021, one of the agenda items was proposed rent control in Oxnard. The WVCBA and its coalition partners submitted a report to the Oxnard City Council recommending alternative solutions, including community-wide education on renter protection laws and the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program, an emergency rental voucher program, and a voluntary rental housing mediation program. 

The WVCBA encourages community members to attend the virtual Oxnard City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 19, and make a public comment on Item N.3 in opposition of rent control and to support our alternative solutions.
