WVCBA is pleased to welcome Ventura County Supervisor Jeff Gorell as a new member! Jeff Gorell was elected to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors in November of 2022 and took office January 2023. He now proudly represents the constituents of Ventura County's 2nd District, which includes the City of Thousand Oaks, Northern and Eastern portions of the City of Camarillo, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Hidden Valley, Lake Sherwood, Somis, Las Posas Valley, Camarillo Springs, Camarillo Heights, Casa Conejo, Santa Rosa Valley, Ventu Park, and South Coast. Working together, we can create a thriving economic environment to attract, retain and reward entrepreneurs, small and big businesses alike, and improve the quality of life across all our communities. Supervisor Gorell brings more than 25 years of experience, with experience both in the the private and public sectors. He has been a local business owner, an adjunct professor at CLU, a Ventura County DA, a naval intelligence officer and war veteran, Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles, and a State Assembly Member representing most of Ventura County. Supervisor Gorell is also committed to ensuring that the county government is more transparent and accountable towards it's community members. Supervisor Gorell is the keynote speaker at the WVCBA's 26th annual Military Appreciation Dinner on Friday, September 15. He is a Captain (Intelligence Officer) in the United States Navy Reserve.
