The WVCBA recently welcomed STAGES Recovery Group in Camarillo as a new member! STAGES was inspired by the overwhelming need for affordable, accessible, and quality services for those impacted by substance use disorders. We had a wonderful time celebrating their ribbon cutting ceremony in June! How and when did the business get started? STAGES Owner and CEO, Kerry Hoffman, has been serving the Ventura County community through her other businesses, SAGE Services, since 2006, and The Santa Effect, non-profit, since 2016. SAGE Services provides an array of services, supporting individuals of all ages with intellectual/developmental disabilities while The Santa Effect is dedicated to supporting underserved communities. Kerry and all the STAGES team members have a shared passion and personal motivation for recovery services, varying from lived experience to having loved ones impacted by substance use disorders. The decision to expand by creating STAGES Recovery Group in 2021, an Intensive Outpatient Program for substance use disorder treatment was a very personal decision for Kerry and her team. What is the company's mission or motto? STAGES Recovery Group’s mission is to provide an inclusive and person-centered approach to success when treating substance use disorder. STAGES believes everyone deserves quality support and treatment, regardless of their history, socioeconomic, or insurance status. We recognize every person who walks in our doors has a unique story. It is important for people to have services and supports that can meet someone where they are at, working with them in an individualized way. Recovery services do not fit into a one-size fits all model. We know many individuals in recovery are used to being asked, “what’s wrong with you?” At STAGES, we ask, “what happened to you?” STAGES not only addresses substance use but also strives to get curious about the root cause of that use. By discovering underlying issues, we support individuals to overcome those challenges through a treatment plan that is specifically designed for them and their unique needs, furthering their success. What’s one thing the business is known for over its competitors? STAGES was designed to provide unique perspectives and services. We are equipped to support individuals of all walks of life, including but not limited to veterans, people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, individuals who have been incarcerated. Our approach is to support people with whatever their unique needs may be, including being able to offer them additional supports through resources in our community to create a robust support team to meet all their needs. The STAGES team is diverse and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting underserved populations. We believe everyone deserves quality services, regardless of their status financially or otherwise. Our priority is supporting under any circumstances within our abilities. Why did the business choose Camarillo as its location? STAGES chose Camarillo as our location because it is important to us to be centrally located in Ventura County. Being centrally located within the County allows us to live our mission and values of being truly inclusive and accessible to all. ![]() Are there news and events you want to share?
