Member Spotlight: Kevin Brannon, Reel Guppy Outdoors

​Our Member Spotlight this week comes from our monthly Business@Breakfast events, which feature a guest speaker and introductions by every attendee. During our March 11 event, attendee Kevin Brannon of Reel Guppy Outdoors was selected to be featured in our newsletter, social media and website.

Why did you join the WVCBA?
The reason I joined the chamber of commerce is because when I was a child visiting my grandparents, my grandfather would always bring us down to the Chamber where he put in hours. He was one of the most successful people that I knew. When I started my company, I knew it must be of some value to join the chamber of commerce because I had seen my grandfather work there. One of the best investments ever.  It’s helped me develop so much as a young entrepreneur and for doing nonprofit work. Do the luncheons!

Tell us a little bit about your company.
I am the host of the  TV show of "Reel Anglers Fishing Show" and I wanted to give back to my community with my platform. I started Reel Guppy Outdoors five years ago. We are a hands-on learning, educational kid and family engagement program located out of Port Hueneme and Oxnard. We just opened our learning center in the Channel Islands Harbor Fisherman’s Wharf  and we have served over 3700 participants so far throughout the tri-counties.
