Member Spotlight: Andrew Kiefer of CBIZ & MHM

​Our Member Spotlight this week is Andrew Kiefer of  CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. Andrew Kiefer is a director and shareholder of CBIZ & Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C., a national public accounting firm. 

He began his career with the firm in 1998 in the Oxnard office. He now oversees the attest, tax and accounting services to privately held commercial entities in the construction, manufacturing, software, and retail industries. His business clients range in size from small startup companies to those in excess of $100 million in revenue. 

He is a graduate of California Lutheran University, and resides with his wife and two boys in Camarillo.   

What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?
As an accountant, people generally think that work stops after April 15, but it is busy all year round. 

Do you have any advice for new business owners?
Some advice for new business owners is to make sure you are surrounded by a solid team of professionals (accountants, attorneys, insurance providers, etc.) who can set up your business correctly, and efficiently in the beginning; the investment will pay off in the future.  

As someone doing business in Oxnard/Camarillo/Ventura County, how does the WVCBA help you?
I appreciate the insight that the WVCBA provides into business issues that impact my clients in the local area.  And I value the WVCBA’s voice for the business community.
