Each year, our Education Committee selects six individuals within Camarillo-area schools as “Educator of the Month.” As a part of this presentation, honorees receive a plaque and custom tote bag (in their school colors) that includes donated gifts from the business community.
This year’s donation deadline is October 15, 2021. In order to fairly award each recipient, we ask for a total of 6 donations, valued at the minimum amount of $25 each. Your donation gives you the opportunity to congratulate the educators and also gain exposure to the community. You are welcome to drop off items at the WVCBA Camarillo location (4001 Mission Oaks Blvd., Suite B) during regular business hours. If you would like someone from our office to come to you, we are happy to accommodate this. The West Ventura County Business Alliance's Tax Identification Number is included, should you need it for reporting and recording purposes. TIN 95-1074180 Once awardees are chosen, the WVCBA coordinates with school principals to present the award and tote bag. Because of COVID-19, each district has different protocols for on-campus visitors. Those who donate gifts will be notified prior to the presentation if visitors are allowed to attend. On behalf of the Education Committee and entire Board of Directors, thank you in advance for your support in honoring local educators. With your contribution, we’re able to recognize educators and show our appreciation for all their hard work and dedication to Camarillo’s youth.
