The Oxnard Chamber is pleased to announce the recipients of our Chairman’s Awards of Excellence who will be celebrated at our upcoming Annual Meeting and Installation of Directors. These dedicated individuals and organizations were selected by 2018-2019 Chair of the Board Stacy Miller and represent leaders who make significant contributions to the success of the Chamber community.
The Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Installation of Directors luncheon is Thursday, January 30, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club. In addition to celebrating recipients of the Chairman's Awards of Excellence, the event presents an opportunity to meet the new Board of Directors and understand the Chamber's vision and priorities for 2020. Congratulations to this year’s honorees and thank you for all that you do for the Chamber! Outstanding Chamber Liaison: Ashley Golden, City of Oxnard Ashley Golden in a highly dedicated member of the City of Oxnard management team. She serves as a liaison between the city and the Chamber Board of Directors. Ashley also is a regular attendee at the Chamber's Business Advocacy Committee. She keeps the Chamber updated on issues moving through city government and keeps the lines of communication open between the two. Outstanding Chamber Ambassadors Leader: Craig Classen, JaniTek Cleaning Solutions Craig Classen is a guy who apparently can't say "No." In addition to serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Chamber in 2019, Craig chaired the Chamber Ambassadors committee. In addition to attending nearly every ribbon cutting and mixer, Craig grew the Chamber Ambassadors group to help service the membership. Outstanding Oxnard Leadership Volunteer: Justin Campbell, Catalyst Environmental Solutions Justin Campbell graduated from the Oxnard Leadership Program in 2018. After, he decided to take his new leadership skills and put them to work on the program's Steering Committee. In addition to helping guide the program and plan the 10 monthly sessions, Justin also volunteered to escort the class during Energy Day, the final session of 2019. Outstanding Business Catalyst: Port of Hueneme The Port of Hueneme reached a record-breaking 1.65 million tons of cargo passing through the Port in 2019, up 3.6% over last year. This growth is largely due to the Port’s fresh produce export sector increasing by 70% and automobile imports up 13%. With that growth, the Port now provides more than 15,834 jobs regionally (direct, indirect, induced and influenced). Even more impressive, the Port managed to reduce its emissions and was named the Greenest Port in America! Outstanding New Member: Poole, Shaffery & Koegle Brian Koegle likes to jump in with both feet. When Poole, Shaffery & Koegle decided to expand their Santa Clarita-based law firm to Ventura County, they looked no further than Oxnard. They immediately joined the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce and began giving back to their new community. They provided a labor law update to Oxnard Chamber members in December and volunteered to review the Chamber's employee handbook. We certainly look forward to working with them in the coming years! Outstanding New Business: Oakmont of Riverpark Oakmont of Riverpark is no secret in Oxnard. Although they are not yet open, they have been spreading out across the community and involving themselves with just about every nonprofit and charitable organization. They are providing a growing need in Oxnard for assisted living and memory care. Their resort-style atmosphere is a welcome addition to Oxnard, and their liaisons to the community are making a true impact. Comments are closed.
