The West Ventura County Business Alliance is excited to welcome Andy Conli as its new President and CEO. Conli was selected by the Board of Directors to succeed Nancy Lindholm, who led the WVCBA and the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce for a combined 21 years. She announced her plans to retire last year. Conli's first day in the new role was January 1. "It truly is an honor and privilege to be named the next President & CEO of the WVCBA," says Conli. "Camarillo and Oxnard are home to a vibrant business community that requires an active and dynamic chamber of commerce to support it." Conli was hired in May 2023 as WVCBA's Business Development Manager and promoted to Chief Operating Officer in September 2024. 5 Things to Know About WVCBA President & CEO Andy Conli1. He has called Ventura County home for the past 10 years Born and raised outside of Sacramento (being a Kings basketball fan is his burden to bear), Andy has lived all throughout California, as well as Western Massachusetts. Before seeing the light and moving to Ventura County, he lived and worked in the belly of the beast, Los Angeles. However, a position at Ventura Orthopedics brought him to the area and he has not looked back. He couldn’t think of a better place to raise his family. 2. He holds a master’s in sports administration Yes, that is a real degree. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with an emphasis in management, from San Diego State University, he attended Fresno State University for his master’s program. While there, Andy worked in the Marketing, Communications and Student-Athlete Services offices of the athletic department where he had the pleasure of watching future pro-athletes like Davante Adams, Derek Carr, and Aaron Judge. Go Bulldogs! 3. The Chamber world is a natural fit While at Ventura Orthopedics, Andy was involved with most of the chambers of commerce in Ventura County and developed a great appreciation for the work they do for local businesses. In May 2023, when the opportunity came up to work for the WVCBA, he jumped at it. The ability to advocate on behalf of the business community, provide opportunities for connection, and facilitate programs and resources that foster growth is exactly what he wants to be doing. 4. His family is the best thing to happen to him Andy and his partner, Christina, have three children between them: Addy (17), Tristan (10) and Isla (9), as well as two dogs, Pepper and Xander. As a family, they love to hike, ride bikes and explore the mountains and National Parks in their well-loved tent trailer. Andy is also a major foodie and loves to cook unique and flavorful meals. His family is more than happy to try out the dishes he prepares almost every night. 5. He lives up to his last name Conli is shortened from the Italian last name Coniglione, which means “big rabbit”. Andy and his family currently foster rabbits for the Bunny Brigade, a rabbit rescue housed at the Ventura County Animal Shelter in Camarillo where they volunteer from time-to-time. He also loves giving back in other ways, like volunteering in the community with his Rotary Club, NextGen Rotary of Ventura County, or picking up trash at Ormond Beach with his family.
