Thank you to the elected officials, WVCBA Board members, Ambassadors, members, and Port Hueneme's city officials and business community for gathering at Port Hueneme City Hall on Wednesday, March 18, to celebrate our new partnership to be the city's official chamber of commerce.

"This partnership is a win-win," said WVCBA Board Chair Natalie Yanez. "The City of Port Hueneme is open for business and we are here to support and advocate for that."

The late afternoon event included brief remarks from City and WVCBA leadership, and a ceremonial ribbon cutting to recognize the new partnership.

“It was wonderful to see City Hall filled with so many people who care about the future of Port Hueneme’s business community,” said Mayor Martha R. McQueen-Legohn. “This partnership will not only help attract new businesses to our community, it will help support and strengthen our existing local businesses.”

Through the partnership, WVCBA will help promote Port Hueneme businesses and City initiatives, host networking events and business forums in the community, and provide advocacy on issues that affect local employers. In turn, the City of Port Hueneme will work with WVCBA to connect Port Hueneme businesses to these opportunities and help strengthen the local economy.

"The support from the City of Port Hueneme to partner as their Chamber of Commerce has been incredible," said Andy Conli, WVCBA President & CEO. "This event just reinforced not only the benefits that will come from the partnership but also highlights the excitement from our members and business community."
