Member Spotlight: City Impact

We are pleased to welcome City Impact as a WVCBA member! City Impact was founded in 1995 to meet the growing needs of at-promise children, youth and low-income families of Ventura County. The nonprofit provides outreach counseling and mentorship/case management services for over 580 at-promise youth and families of Ventura County. Development Manager Vickie Saipale shares more.

What is the City Impact's mission ?
City Impact's mission is to connect and uplift youth and families through comprehensive outreach services, dedicated mentorship and mental health support.

What’s one thing City Impact is known for? 
We work hand in hand with our community partners to provide vital services, ensuring that youth and families receive the comprehensive support they need to thrive, now and in the future.

Why did you choose this area of the county for your location?
City Impact chose the Camarillo/Oxnard/Ventura area as our primary location because, while we serve various regions throughout Ventura County, a significant portion of our services are focused in the Oxnard Plains.

Do you have any new or upcoming events?  
City Impact will host its upcoming Online Auction in April 2025, and our 15th Annual Beachfront Run Half Marathon, 10K, 5K & Kids 1K Run, on SATURDAY JUNE 7, 2025

How can the business community help?
City Impact invites you to become Impact Makers for our community. Your support for our events helps us continue providing vital services for youth and families in need. There are several ways your business can get involved and make a meaningful difference:

Online Auction: Donate items (gift baskets, gift cards, unique experiences, trips or any other items that would help raise funds for our event.

Beachfront Run Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, & Kids 1K Run

My name is Vickie Saipale, Development Manager at City Impact, and I’ve had the privilege of being part of this incredible organization for 22 years. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the honor of working alongside dedicated peers who are deeply passionate about the work we do and the services we provide to the children, youth, and families in our programs. Together, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

​In 2025, City Impact will celebrate 30 years of making an impact in the lives of thousands of children, youth, and families across our community. Through our community-focused programs, we have fostered hope, strengthened families, and helped shape the next generation of leaders. We are proud of the progress we've made and excited for the next chapter as we continue to make a meaningful difference, one child, one youth and one family at a time.
