The mission of the WVCBA's Political Action Committee (PAC) is to seek out, evaluate qualifications of, and endorse candidates for public office who support the ideals of our free enterprise system. The PAC evaluates candidates for local, county and state offices, and hosts candidate forums for local and state elections. The PAC is comprised of current members of the Board of Directors. Bert Perello, City Council District 1 (incumbent) Gabe Teran, City Council District 2 (incumbent) Gabriela Basua, City Council District 5 (incumbent) City of Port Hueneme Laura Hernandez, City Council (incumbent) Oxnard Harbor District Mary Anne Rooney, Commissioner (incumbent) SUPPORT Local Ballot Measure D: United Water's $350 million Measure D funds mandatory safety upgrades for the Santa Felicia Dam, a court-ordered fish passage, and a groundwater extraction barrier. WVCBA previously announced the following endorsements ahead of the June primary election: California Congressional District 26 Jacqui Irwin California State Assembly District 38 Steve Bennett (incumbent) City of Camarillo David Tennessen, City Council District 1 (incumbent) WVCBA encourages every eligible voter to ensure they are registered to vote by October 19 in order to participate in the November 3 general election. Further, we hope voters do their due diligence and research the candidates and issues prior to heading to the polls.
